Hi there! My name is Jacob Dittrich and I am currently serving in my first term as your city councilman.

 

I was born and raised in Fraser and have spent my whole life in Southeast Michigan. My mother was a small business owner, my father a union HVAC technician. Together, they taught me the value of hard work, the importance of respecting others, and how to stretch a dollar. After graduation from high school, I went on to study finance management and became a banker. I've worked for Huntington in the heart of our downtown since 2010.

In 2007, I married my amazing wife Tammy and shortly thereafter we purchased our first home together in the Willow Creek neighborhood. We knew immediately this was the best place to raise a family. It's where we have been raising our two children, Raegan and Kaleb, both of whom attend Anchor Bay Schools. We've got skin in the game and caring for our community for the sake of our children and yours is what motivates me each and every day.

In 2013, following the chaos of the early parenting years, I began looking for ways to give back to the community through work in local civic organizations. I am proud to be a  member of the New Baltimore Civic Club, member of the Goodfellows, Director on the Board of Bay Rama, member of the Anchor Bay Chamber of Commerce, and Government Affairs Committee for the MMLA. These experiences piqued my interest in local government and I was ultimately appointed to our Downtown Development Authority in 2016.
